We are pleased to offer once again a series of knitting classes for the beginning knitter. Classes are one hour long and are led by Reah Janise Kauffman, a local knitwear designer. Classes are being held every Wednesday from 10:30-11:30 am. Cost is $15. Classes are limited to five people. Sign up -- by calling or emailing the shop -- to hold your place.
July 6: Knitting and purling -- the two basic stitches.
July 13: Casting on and binding off. Start a fingerless mitt project.
July 20: Identifying and fixing basic mistakes.
July 27: Reading patterns, charts, stitches and the importance of gauge.
August 3: Increasing and decreasing.
August 10: Knitting in the round. Get started on your first hat.
