Harlowe by Melissa Wehrle is the perfect pattern to work in Brown Sheep's Prairie Spun DK. (Cheryl chose to knit it in the honeycomb colorway.) The stitch pattern makes the most of the soft and lofty Prairie Spun DK.

The sweater is started at the bottom in order to make two separate pieces for the split hem and then joined to continue in the round. This cozy pullover has interesting details mixed with a soothing knit/purl texture. This was a very pleasant project all the way around. It may have some new-to-you techniques, making it an exciting knit!

A customer told us about Camp Out Fingerless Mitts. She loves making them because she has fun using her yarn scraps. However, we were intrigued by its construction and with an odd lot of Noro's Kureyon on hand, we just had to start right away. Knitting from the top of the mitt to the wrist was new for us. We closely followed the pattern but we see that this pattern can be modified in so many ways. So fun!

We wrote a simple -- and easy to keep track of -- cabled mitt pattern. We knit this mitt using Briggs and Little's Regal yarn. We brought in this woolly, economical yarn for just this purpose -- you can knit two pairs of these mitts for only $7.95!

The cabled mitt pattern is not online. You can get it at our shop or request it with any online purchase.

Skipton gloves is a great free pattern calling for two skeins of the delicious Rowan Kid Classic. These gloves are super warm, yet they don't feel bulky.

Do all those fingers and thumbs have you worried? They really are quite fun and allow for truly custom gloves! You can always adapt the pattern to make mittens or fingerless mitts.
