Fishbones Hat

Fishbones by Mary Jane Mucklestone is such a fun knit. So fun, as a matter of fact, that one hat wasn't enough! This pattern's simple stranding is a great way to dip your toe into colorwork. The color changes are predictable and methodic, which puts it directly into the "pleasant knit" category. Our store samples are knit with Ultra Alpaca Light, a much-loved favorite from Berroco. It never disappoints. If you'd like to try other similar yarns, Quaker Hill from Plymouth or Alpaca Heather from Manos would be fabulous substitutes. Since these yarns are all DK weight, check your stash for something to use for a contrast pompom and have fun!
