Hats for the Holidays

If you're looking for last-minute knitted gifts for your loved ones, you can't go wrong with a hat. We have some new hat samples that you can easily crank out ... one in a couple of hours, and the other in a couple of evenings.

The textured Itasca Beanie knits up fast with one skein of super bulky Wool & The Gang's Crazy Sexy Wool and size 15 needles. We topped ours with one of our faux fur pompoms.

The June Hat uses two skeins of Lang Mohair Trend for a lightweight, yet warm, head topper. Two colors alternate rows for a fun striped beanie. Whether you choose to go high contrast or low contrast, the result is a soft hat with a beautiful halo. Amazingly, we have 28 colors of this worsted weight mohair/silk blend. If you knit to gauge, you will have just enough of the contrast color remaining to be the contrast color for a second hat. You'll have enough of the main color remaining for a fluffy pompom, if you desire! Both patterns are free, and are available on Ravelry or in-store.
