Miradores is a new DK weight yarn by Plymouth Yarn. It is a lovely blend of baby alpaca, merino and silk. The sheen of the silk ply gives this yarn a bit of elegance, and the yarn knits up very evenly even with the bit of texture the silk wrap in the yarn provides. This yarn is super soft, and its drape would also be a great choice for a wrap or shawl.
We wanted a classic cropped cardigan that had just a little bit of interest to make the knitting fun. We chose to knit the Rosa cardigan. Both the pattern style and yarn makes this cardigan a year-round option. We found the pattern outstanding in terms of clarity and specifics, such as how to place and make the buttonholes. The sleeves can be knit full length instead of 3/4 as in our model. Of course it can be lengthened too!
