Berroco Remix Chunky is the newest addition to the Remix Family. It is a cotton blend yarn made from 100% recycled fibers making it lighter in weight than a 100% cotton yarn. It's machine washable and has a nice, "cottony" hand. We have this blend for our knitters and crocheters who want a non-wool yarn at this gauge.
Grassy Fields is an easy four row repeat pattern which was designed for this yarn. Rows 2 and 4 are the same, and row 1 is all knit. Row 3 uses an easy twist stitch that does not require a cable needle.
The pattern, as written, is a very large baby blanket or a very small throw, but this pattern is super easy to adjust - multiples of 14 stitches. We took out one repeat and used six balls of Remix Chunky to get a baby blanket approx. 36" x 42". Remove another repeat and your blanket will use 5 balls of Remix Chunky and be approx. 32" x 42". This newer pattern is worth taking a look at if a baby blanket or throw is in your future.
